These photos of France were taken in various areas but mainly in the south west area of the Languedoc where Occtian is spoken instead of french (a Romance language closely related to the Catalan language of Spain). My sister was living there so I took the advantage of a quick holiday to visit her and to take photos of the area. The photo featured here is of Angoulême, the comic book capital of France and a town that is covered with murals.
The mural featured here I particularly liked. Whilst being in a cartoon or bande desinée style it also incorporates some wonderful trompe l’œil with its depth and perspective.
